In case you haven't looked at your calendar lately, Valentine's Day is this weekend. Before you run out to the Hallmark store, think about this:
What do you have from previous Valentine's Days? All the cards? Gifts? Flowers? Empty candy boxes? Heart-shaped soap?
Do you even remember what gifts you received in previous years and who gave them to you? Do you remember what gifts you gave, and to whom?

My favorite student valentines are the ones they make themselves: the cut out paper hearts with a personal note, even if it just says "You Rock!" I keep those. They're priceless.
