I'm sure there's a very good reason that this annual event is held on the last weekend of spring break
(when we always happen to be out of town). And this year is no different. We've got a fun weekend planned, but there's a part of me that wishes we could join our fellow Oregonians at the beach cleaning up.
If you're not familiar with SOLV, what they do and this annual event, I hope you'll visit their site to learn more. And maybe even volunteer for the clean up or another event near home. They do a great job of organizing people to keep Oregon clean.
So, we've got their Earth Day event on April 18th on our family calendar, and are looking for something we can do this month through their "Find a Volunteer Opportunity" search. There's a clean up event in NW Portland, Saturday March 14th that looks like a good first step with kiddos - want to join us?I've been told it's a great event for young kids and starts (promptly) at 9am.
Maybe we'll even play our neighborhood bingo game on our spring break trip. Good times, cleanin' up.
